What Is Glamma Doing in Verona?

Street performers perform….on the street! Food vendors come out of the woodwork (or in the case of the Arena, out of the stonework).

There are parades which will challenge everyone if the weather turns cold. Glamma is prepared for the deepest of deep winter in Northern Italy! She brought a warm coat since she expects to spend a lot of time outdoors.

Street Food and Wine….Again!
The patron saint of Verona is Saint Zeno, called San Zeno in Italian. Every February, there is a feast in honor of San Zeno. The feast features street food, wine (of course), and meat.
The difference between this festival and any other is that the food must be prepared in traditional ways. Glamma is looking forward to sampling thousands of years of Italian dishes from pasta to pesto.
Skip, Hop, or Jump to Lake Garda
People who are touring in Verona can take part in any number of one or two-day trips to Lake Garda. This is a big inland lake. The quaint mountain villages that occupy the high ground around the lake date from the late 20th century all the way back 1000 years and beyond.
Montorio Castle Beckons from the Year 1000
In the opposite direction from Lake Garda is the Montorio Castle. This castle is very close to Verona. Glamma is planning to take a tour of the castle. This castle has everything a castle lover might want.
